Precision meets humanity.

At Cyberknife® Salzburg, we celebrate the advancements in robotic radiosurgery – and with it, state-of-the-art technology and inspired patients who benefit from gentle treatment and impressive precision.

World Radiosurgery Day

On today’s World Radiosurgery Day, November 24, 2025, Cyberknife® Salzburg looks gratefully toward our S7 system from Accuray.

The “tool,” as founder and medical director Dr. Alfred Haidenberger affectionately calls it, is considered one of the most advanced systems for robotic radiosurgery.

On today’s “Awareness Day,” clinics worldwide celebrate successes in treating lung, prostate, spinal, brain, and many other tumors.

Dr. Haidenberger and international colleagues emphasize that the Cyberknife® offers a gentle alternative, especially for hard-to-operate regions of the body.

Progress that gives patients hope.

To date, the system has kept its core promise to patients and the medical physics team.
Tumors and other lesions have been reliably targeted in nearly 200 patients using radiation beams from hundreds of angles.
The Cyberknife® system has thus fundamentally changed traditional radiation therapy.

World Radiosurgery Day reminds us how far modern radiation medicine has come. “Technologies like ours will continue to push the boundaries between technical innovation and the human art of healing,” emphasizes Alfred Haidenberger!
