Lung Diseases
We offer the only technology that continuously tracks the patient's respiratory movements during treatment.
Locally confined lung tumors are irradiated with precision. Healthy lung tissue is preserved. The non-invasive procedure minimizes the risk of side effects and maintains quality of life. The treatment is characterized by its short duration.
Areas of Application

Lung Tumors
Particularly stage I and II bronchial carcinomas can be treated with Cyberknife technology following interdisciplinary assessment. The latest studies show that the results are comparable to surgical therapies.

Lung Metastases
Individual lung metastases up to a diameter of 4 cm without lymph node involvement are treated precisely and gently.
Criteria for Treatment with Cyberknife®
- Stage T1 or T2 lung tumors without lymph node metastases
- Individual lung metastases up to 4 cm in diameter without lymph node involvement
- Good delineation of the tumor
Therapy Process
The treatment is divided into preparation, irradiation, and aftercare; it is gentle and patient-friendly.
Preparation
Experienced physicians and physicists transfer the image data to the Cyberknife computer and precisely plan the radiation alignment and the dose for the treatment of the tumors.
Irradiation
After a short preparation, the patient lies relaxed on the robot-controlled table. They remain connected to the team via camera during the 20- to 30-minute Cyberknife treatment. Breaks are possible at any time. Following the final consultation, the patient returns directly to their daily routine.
Aftercare
Regular clinical examinations and imaging such as CT or MRI monitor the healing process. The first follow-up appointment takes place, depending on the diagnosis, approximately 3 to 6 months after treatment.
